Beverly J. Lages, President
Beverly founded Lages in 1988 and has built the agency on a foundation of solid marketing principles. Her expertise in marketing communications program development, strategic product and corporate public relations and positioning is grounded in practical experience in marketing high-tech products and services for over 25 years. When launching a communications program, Beverly leads the team to identify and understand pacing issues, customer values and competitive offerings. Throughout the partnership with clients, she plays an active role, guiding and monitoring program activity and directly counseling clients.
Beverly and her husband have two sons, a trio of cats and one very funny dog. In the early hours of the morning you’ll find Beverly at the barn tacking up her horses before jumping a course or two. “There is an interesting parallel between riding and public relations: both require incredible communication skills. You don’t jump a course using brute force, but rather through strategic communication that results in optimum performance.”

Kerry Fedro, Vice President and Managing Director
Kerry’s hands-on corporate marketing experience in message development, corporate and product positioning, competitive landscape analysis and product lifecycle management provides Lages clients with invaluable insights that provide an added level of counsel and expertise. Kerry joined Lages in 2000 and orchestrates a wide variety of public relations and communications services including account planning, media relations, materials development and program roll-outs. With an incredible attention to detail, Kerry takes great care to ensure that client programs are on track and that they meet or exceed defined goals.
Kerry is a native of Colorado and frequently returns to the “homeland” to keep her two sons and 10 lb. dachshund familiar with snow and seriously cold weather. After 10 years in California Kerry finds it hard to remember how she grew up in blizzard conditions when today, 60 degrees feels like scarf and gloves weather! When Kerry’s not chasing after her two boys you’ll find her at the gym on the treadmill or maybe at Starbuck’s getting yet another coffee!

Dena Jacobson, Account Manager and Senior Strategic Writer
Dena plays an instrumental role in the execution of a variety of public relations programs from technology initiatives and product launches, to advocacy, corporate sponsorship, and awareness campaigns. As a well-versed PR professional with an ability to bridge goals between media interests and clients, Dena gets results. She takes special care to build relationships with client partners and customers and bring them into play for a strong story that speaks to the audiences at hand.
Outside of the office, she spends much of her time on horseback – she has been riding and competing hunter/jumper horses since the age of 13. Dena also enjoys a good read, and counts Dostoevsky and Salinger among her favorite authors.

Stephanie Olsen, Account Manager
Fueled by the thrill of landing great coverage and building lasting relationships, Stephanie really sinks her teeth into client programs, going deep to understand the market landscape and client goals. Stephanie’s experience spans many areas of tech including security, software, electronics, chips, and computer peripherals and she has a great ability to tailor programs to penetrate vertical markets such as education, insurance, mortgage, healthcare, and government. A well-rounded PR practitioner, Stephanie’s experience ranges from planning and program assessments to content development and media pitching to speaking placements. When it comes to social media Stephanie takes pride in adapting the traditional PR model to include new social media strategies and tactics.
Stephanie grew up in a military family and has lived from Maine to California, but considers herself a Midwestern-Californian. A devoted Nebraska Cornhuskers football fan and a golf enthusiast, she also enjoys traveling to places near and far and names Ireland as her all-time favorite destination.

Justine Houston-Brown, Account Executive
With an optimism that never fails and a drive to reach and exceed client goals, Justine is passionate about the companies we work with. She collaborates with clients on day-to-day deliverables while keeping a watchful eye on competitors and market trends to land meaningful results. Justine has successfully conducted media relations programs for a diverse range of companies in the consumer electronics, networking, and datacom/telecom markets.
Among her responsibilities at Lages are media and industry analyst relations, social media planning and strategy, materials development and media intelligence, while also teaming up with senior staffers on the overall coordination and support of PR campaigns and communications initiatives.
Justine enjoys keeping busy as an active member of the Public Relations Society of America, serving on the Board of Directors as Communications and Advocacy Co-Chair. She graduated cum laude from California State University, Fullerton with a B.A. in Communications and emphasis in public relations. When she’s not spending time with her loved ones, Justine puts Photoshop through its paces to edit her photography and enjoys exploring her creativity through graphic design with Adobe Illustrator.

Fred Xue – China Marketing Communications and PR
Fred teams with Lages to provide localized media relations in both Mainland China and Taiwan. He brings solid experience to the table including that of IT media editor, software engineer and PR team leader. Fred is skilled in building bridges between technology companies and media, with a special understanding of the differences between Western and Chinese cultures, and even between Taiwan and Mainland China.
